Responsible Investments: Healthy Returns

Clean water.  Fresh air.  Environmentally concerned energy companies.  Good corporate governance.  Product safety.  Human rights.  These are some of the socially conscious qualities we look for when researching companies to include in the Socially Responsible Equity Fund.  Pro-active research on social issues is combined with screens related to the faith based guidelines of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Fund restricts stocks in companies involved in nuclear power, weaponry, gambling, alcohol, tobacco and abortion.

Our research looks for companies that have green business practices.  For example, we seek:

·        Oil and gas drilling companies that protect the environment.

·        Mining companies that restore the earth.

·        Manufacturers with safe products.

·        Multi-national corporations with sound human rights actions.

We seek companies that are socially conscious and have good financial value.
